On Hold

Spent most of the day today on hold. Probably used almost all of my minutes for the month on my cell phone. But I was productive..

THINGS I DID WHILE ON HOLD FOR 3 HOURS 40 MINUTES and 36 SECONDS:

2 loads of laundry

Cooked, ate, and cleaned up from lunch

replaced furnace filter

checked email about 100 times

went to the bathroom 3 times

changed my favorite numbers on my cell phone plan to include the number i was on hold for

bought a printer at best buy (at the actual store)

picked up my motorcycle that was blown over by the wind (twice)

listened to the elevator hold music cd 8 times

setup said printer

caught up on news

searched for jobs

found my goggles to go swimming tonight

wrote and researched this post

THINGS I COULD HAVE DONE WHILE ON HOLD

ran a half marathon

baked a turkey

watched an entire series of some tv show on DVD

played 169 hands of solitare

had a really long make-out session with my wife

gotten legally drunk and sobered up

driven to airport, checked in through security, flown to Chicago, flown back to Denver, then driven home

charged an electric car for 60 miles of travel

watched google’s servers perform 243,750,000 searches

hiked out of the Grand Canyon

climbed the Nose of El Cap, if I was Yuji Hirayama

circumnavigated the earth (traveling at 10,000 km/h)

traveled half-way to the moon on NASA’s New Horizon

traveled to Neptune (4 billion km) (at the speed of light)

OR best yet - walked to a temp agency gotten work for the afternoon and worked half a day

And the exciting conclusion to this wait on hold? A dropped call.
