Conspiracy Theories and the True Far Left

Stop Bombing the Moon The media and most of the republican politicians portray anyone that recycles as the far far left wing. This is of course not at all true. A strong majority of Americans think progressively (as evidence by the last election cycle). Let me introduce to you the true far far left wing. Yes, they exist. And yes, they are a special kind of batshit crazy, matched only by the likes of Glenn Beck and Michelle Bachmann. The Chicago Surrealist Movement noted in the article have come up with a bizarre conspiracy theory that NASA is going to bomb the moon without regard to “the local ecosystem and indigenous peoples”. The theory has about as much credibility as the “birther” theory or any of the lunatic rantings of Glenn Beck. So it will be interesting if the media picks it up and brings one of these people on air. I don’t think it deserves any publicity, because it’s so ridiculous. But it makes an interesting commentary on the so called “liberal media bias”. If the media was biased towards the left, the leader of this group would be on every talk show out there. And if they do get covered, will they get portrait as a fringe group or get lumped in with all environmentalists? The Register article seems to be doing the latter. My point is, this is what the far far left wing looks like. Not Michael Moore or Rachael Maddow or Keith Olbermann or Jon Stewart. Nor environmentalists or people concerned with climate change. Nope, it’s the ones that are worried about the indigenous people on the moon and their ecosystem and how NASA’s experiment to probe for water will effect them. That is what the far far fringe left looks like
